Helping the unemployed back to work

Many people, previously disengaged from the workforce, have been helped to re-enter the workforce since the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations introduced CMyPeople (formerly known as ESP) to Job Network offices across the country.

Use of the assessment tool has doubled placement rates in some cases. And candidates that are placed in roles, as a result of their assessment, are more likely to stay in the role.

A better direction

CMyPeople provides real opportunities to help get the unemployed back into the workforce. The assessments have been found to significantly increase a job seeker's self esteem, and provide them with a better idea of the roles they should apply for.

CMyPeople is able to assist members of the Job Network with:

Jobseekers can either complete the 20 minute CMyWorkforce or the 90 minute CMyCandidate assessment

Job network success

Independent research has revealed that Job Network offices with high CMyPeople assessment usage placed an average of 33% more job seekers than offices which do not utilise the simple-to-use online assessment tool.

Importantly, it was found that 61% of job seekers placed would not have found employment without the assessment. Shown to be very effective among the 12-month and highly disadvantaged job seeker group, where it more than doubled placement rates, CMyPeople assessments also significantly increase self esteem, with 67% of job seekers having positive and lasting effects on motivation and confidence.

"In addition to doubling the placement rates of the long-term unemployed and extending continuous employment periods, CMyPeople has had a positive impact on the job seekers themselves, providing them with the knowledge, direction and self-confidence they need to pursue suitable and rewarding employment,"
